The LTC®1480 is an ultra-low power differential line trans- ceiver which provides full RS485 compatibility while oper- ating from a single 3.3V supply. It is designed for data transmission standard RS485 applications with extended common-mode range (12V to C7V). It also meets the requirements of RS422 and features high speed operation up to 2.5Mb/s. The CMOS design offers significant power savings without sacrificing ruggedness against overload or ESD damage. Typical quiescent current is only 300µA while operating and 1µA in shutdown.

rate resulting from a noisy link. The coding overhead can be reduced at the expense of the coding gain by puncturing (deleting) some of the symbols. The STEL-2040A is designed to operate in this way at Rate 3/4. In this case 4 symbols are transmitted for every 3 bits encoded. The resulting bandwidth overhead is just 33% in this case, compared with 100% at Rate 1/2.
The EL2045 also features an extremely wide output voltage swing of 13.6V with VS = 15V and RL = 1kΩ. At 5V, output voltage swing is a wide 3.8V with RL = 500Ω and 3.2V with RL = 150Ω. Furthermore, for single-supply operation at +5V, output voltage swing is an excellent 0.3V to 3.8V with RL = 500Ω.
External voltage reference sources are connected to the RTX and RBX pins. RBX can be grounded. Within each A/D con- verter is a reference resistor ladder comprising 255 resistors that are accessed by the TMC1103 comparators. RTX is con- nected to the top of the ladder, RBX to the bottom. Gain and offset errors are directly related to the accuracy and stability of the applied reference voltages.
The CA3318CE deserializer is ideal for converting 622Mbps serial data to 8-bit-wide, 77Mbps parallel data in ATM and SDH/SONET applications. Operating from a single +3.3V supply, this device accepts PECL serial-clock and data inputs, and delivers TTL clock and data outputs. It also provides a TTL synchroniza- tion input that enables data realignment and reframing. The CA3318CE is available in the extended-industrial temperature range (-40C to +85C), in a 28-pin SSOP package.
